EngagePlay — SMS / Messaging Terms

These SMS/Messaging Terms apply to text messages sent and received through the EngagePlay Service. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
For recipients (Players)
Program description
When you opt in, the business you interacted with (via EngagePlay) may send you text messages such as prize/voucher confirmations, reminders, review requests, and offers.
Consent
By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Messages are sent on behalf of the specific business you engaged with.
Opt out
Reply STOP at any time to stop messages. You may also reply HELP for help. After you text STOP, you will receive a confirmation and no further messages, except as required to process your request.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. EngagePlay and the business are not responsible for charges from your mobile carrier.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and on A2P registration status.
Privacy
Information collected through messaging is handled under our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile information, and mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
For businesses (Business Users)
Compliance is your responsibility
You may use EngagePlay SMS only to message recipients from whom you have the consent required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable law. Every commercial message must identify your business and include a working unsubscribe mechanism (e.g., "Reply STOP"). You must honour opt-out requests promptly (the law requires within 10 business days; EngagePlay processes STOP automatically and immediately).
A2P registration
Sending business (application-to-person) SMS requires carrier registration of your brand and campaign (A2P 10DLC, including for Canadian numbers registered on or after March 26, 2025). You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and for using only an approved, registered number. EngagePlay (and our DFY setup service, if you use it) facilitates registration but does not guarantee carrier approval or message delivery.
Prohibited content
No messages relating to prohibited or restricted categories under carrier rules (including unlawful content, and restricted "SHAFT" categories — sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco/cannabis — except as permitted with appropriate registration and age-gating). No filter-evasion techniques such as number rotation or "snowshoeing"; these violate carrier rules and may result in fines and suspension.
Suspension
We may suspend SMS for non-compliance, spam complaints, carrier violations, or risk to platform deliverability.
